Hi Tia

I wonder how some people in different parts of the world could be on the same thought process at about the same time .

Recently when I was goading my 12 yr old son into studying well, I gave him an example of my cousin who managed to get into a very good company even before finishing his gradualtion. So his question first was "so what will uncle do now? Will he get married ? and then his question " Mommy what's life's aim? So innocently he put across such a big question.

I normally would have thought long and wide and then answered his question. But this time my answer just came out spontaneously - LIFE'S AIM IS TO ENJOY. Only after uttering those words, it hit me - yes, that's the basic essence of LIFE which we all struggle to come to terms with. Not that we do not know it, but somewhere in the journey from childhood to Adulthood we keep forgetting that more and more. Now, I consciously want to make an attempt at doing that.

I also feel that the reason for not being mindful of this fact is that we somehow get lost in the muddle of mundane things which we definitely need to do to earn our bread and butter.

So let us be CONSCIOUSLY ENJOYING whatever we are doing - however boring or interesting the task may be.

Heck yeah! What a relief to know that it is done :D!! And that it HAS been done for a while... The rest of our lives is just an expression of who we are - as it has been so far.

Gee, wonder how many people are expending too much time and energy wondering about this ... hope they all read this post! Thanks again Carol, I gotta feeling tonight's gonna be a good night! Woohoo!

You and I must be sharing the same space energetically right now, Tia. Everything you wrote in this post spoke to me just as the videos did. In fact, I've listened to these videos over and over today, and I think I'm FINALLY getting it. And then I bop over here and see you've posted a new blog. :)

"But above all, I want most of all to Further Joy!

To be known for being a JoyGiver, JoySpreader, JoyMonger & ALL things JOY.

It was so ridiculously simple that I had to catch my breath."

It IS that easy! I, too, have been trying to figure out my life purpose. Expecting it to be something more than what I already am.

I've listened to Abraham thousands of times, but this set of videos REALLY spoke to me. (And I almost didn't post them last night, but they made such a difference to me that I felt I HAD to share them. lol)

In all of our cases, we mean a whole lot to a lot of different people . . . all in different ways. Our families, our friends, and all of the various people we interact with in any way, shape, or form. In every interaction we are offering others who we are and spreading the joy.

Think of all of the joy you have given to the world already, Tia . . . and all of the inspiration you have given to us, your peeps. You've touched so many lives already. And you've been living your life's purpose ALL ALONG!

These videos and your blog have helped me to realize that I've been living mine all along, too! Oh happy day!!! I don't have to be or do something specific . . . I JUST HAVE TO BE!

What a huge relief, huh? :)

That's what I'm taking away from this, Carol. Mind-fullness.

We all had such different 1st responses to the quote, I'm wondering if if has to do with our experiences and as a result we've chosen to strongly believe some things? I'm sure it does!

What I'm also getting is that some of us paid more attention to the words, and some to the vibe we felt reading them. No right or wrong, just interesting! Great to see you here!

hey Tia, your post is a really good reminder (especially the part about the tiredness etc. - this is so me ...).
I remember my wrists getting sore and showing signs of RSI whenever I resist a job I should be doing. When I realize the first signs of it, I take note, try to change my attitude, do some energy healing with my hands on the wrist (imagining energy flowing easily through the wrists again) and my wrists are all good in a matter of a day or two.
When relationships are not working as they are supposed to or in a way that is good for me, my kidneys start to hurt a little.
So it's totally true, it's important to listen to our body. And: the book by Louise L. Hay was a huge eye-opener for me too. I read the one in which all the afflictions are listed along with an explanation what they mean along with a positive affirmation.
@JM: "This is as a result of my becoming entirely unable to continue seeing someone the instant I feel like I am not fully interested in them." - this is also true for me, it makes relationships a bit hard because more often or not you get this intuitive hunch 'he / she is not the one' and 'have' to leave the relationship but on the other hand it keeps you aligned with your true self and who you are which is very freeing also!! ;)

"You’re so right about the power of our words. Even if we don’t take something literally, so much junk goes into our minds when we mindlessly (instead of mindfully) speak, share or act. Mindfulness is under-rated ay."

Perfectly said, Tia!!! I understand the essence of what Tony quoted, but the feel of the words when I read them immediately made me cringe inside. The freedom seeking being in us definitely doesn't want to have anyone put that kind of responsibility on us. If someone said to me, "I can't live without you" . . . poof, I'd be gone. I'm not responsible for anyone else's happiness.

I feel the essence too Col, so I agree with me and you and everyone :) Isn't it great that we can have so many interpretations depending on what we choose to focus on?

Oh dear this means I was focusing on the feeling of emptiness talked about rather than the feeling of love! Heck it made for a great debate on the power of words, consciousness and where we put our focus.

I had to LOL @ self correcting constantly, I tend to do that too (unless I'm in a GAH I'll do what I want mood then it's all rules, even mine, out the window!)

Oooooooooh I LOVE that Jeanne said "it's not about the words, it’s about what you *feel* when you say the words." Another check for vibration being stronger than words! Glad you got off the ride to join us here for a bit, giddy up Colestar!

Hi Tia!

I agree with both sides actually!

It's so funny because when I first saw Tony's quote I thought, "Hey, that is so right!" (feeling the essence of it instead of the words, as Fen did) ... When you gave your response, Tia, my ears pricked up to what I hadn't noticed at first. I thought, "Well actually ... I don't really believe in 'I can't live without (fill in the blanks)' " ... It just doesn't make sense. Sorta disempowering.

It's a super-interesting conversation, right? I'm always so careful with my words ... rephrasing the "I don't want"s to "What DO I want?" (I want to lose weigh = I want to be slim ... don't want clutter = want clear spaces)

I was on the phone with Jeanna Gabellini this week and she noticed me constantly self-correcting ... She said, "Stop that!" LOL "I NEVER watch what I say. Neither does Eva." sharing that it's not about the words, it's about what you *feel* when you say the words.

Is what you said sending you upstream or downstream? If downstream, the words don't matter. (Credit for these concepts goes to Jeanna ... and Abraham I'm sure ;) )

The whole rest of our conversation was this fascinating carnival ride of Col-attempting-not-to-self-correct and Col's-little-inner-voice silently jumping in to correct. It was such an interesting exercise ... what a ride!

I'm with *every*one here ... just popping some thoughts into the mix!

Hugs,
Col

""COMPLETING someone or being what someone NEEDS or being the ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT of their life is a lot of responsibility; and I don’t want it."" That's why the more someone asks to be loved / shows neediness over and over again, the less we want to love them.

It's sad in a way cos so many people don't realise the way to get love is GIVE love - so you can feel the pleasure of giving, what it feels like to love. Then we don't even need it but love it when given.

I see this trend start early, in children who want attention when another child is getting it - there's got to be a way to reassure them and teach them to be confident early on?

"" I’m all for the romance, and I’m always my favorite lover """ I LOVE this!! Way to love yourself first, gf! It's a pleasure to have you around :)

“” I’m all for the romance, and I’m always my favorite lover “”" I LOVE this!! Way to love yourself first, gf! It’s a pleasure to have you around
